Adoption Process

Mini Goldendoodles, Mini Bernedoodles, and Mini Sheepadoodles are our specialty.  If you are interested in one of our puppies, please email or call us for availability.  We are happy to answer any reasonable questions you may have about our puppies or the doodle breeds.  Our puppies are very popular, so it is common to have a short waiting period before you are able to take a puppy to your home.

Make a Deposit
We take a non-refundable deposit to reserve your puppy.  The deposit for a Mini Goldendoodle, Mini Bernedoodle, or Mini Sheepadoodle is $400.  Payment methods we accept are personal check (if pups are less than 5 weeks old), money order, cashier's check, or Paypal.

​Select a Puppy
We all eagerly await the arrival of each new litter.  It's a very exciting time for us to watch all the changes that take place and to watch their personalities emerge.  The puppies have their dew claws removed, current on vaccinations and are examined by our veterinarian before leaving our home.  They are given the best of care in preparation for the arrival into your home.  Follow us on Twitter or Facebook to learn when new updates or new pictures have been added to the website.  We do a group picture of the litter when they are just a few days old.  We then wait until approximately 3 weeks of age to do individual pictures.  The puppies go through a lot of changes in just a few weeks.  We begin the selection process at 5 to 6 weeks of age.  We will have updated individual pictures on our site and possibly video.  You may make your choice by visiting if you are able to do so in the given time frame, or otherwise make your choice with the pictures and video on our site.  When visiting us to make your choice, we require that you wash your hands before handling our puppies and also that you wear shoe covers (that we will provide) as you enter our facility.  Choices are made in the order the deposits are received.
Picture
We also microchip all of our puppies.  We feel that microchipping is important because if your pet ever becomes lost, having a microchip will greatly improve the chance of you being reunited with your pet.  The microchip also helps us to identify each puppy and ensure that you receive the puppy that you picked out.  Click here for more information on how the microchipping works.
Remaining Balance
Remaining balance is due when your puppy is 7 weeks old unless other arrangements have been made.  Payment methods we accept for remaining balance are cash, personal check (if pups are less than 5 weeks old), money order,  or Paypal.  Please confirm your remaining balance with us before sending payment.  All sales are subject to sales tax.

We feed NutriSource Small & Medium Breed Puppy Food and we will send along a small baggie of this food.  If you would like to transition to a different brand of food you can mix it with your new puppy food.

You will receive the puppy's vaccination record, health certificate, and all the necessary paperwork on the day that your puppy goes to your home.  We also send along a small fleece blanket with the litter scent on it.  Puppies are allowed to go to their new homes around 8 weeks of age.  We are able to provide accommodations for a longer time if needed for a small additional fee.  The fee begins at 9 weeks of age.  Please contact us if you need additional accommodations.

Receive Your Puppy Via Airline (if applicable)
You are welcome to travel to Iowa and come pick up your puppy from us.  Other options are for you to fly to our nearest airport (Sioux Falls, SD), and we meet you with your puppy for $100 fee. We also offer to set you up with our preferred flight nanny services or someone from the Little Paws of Iowa team will hand deliver to your local airport. This fee is typically $525 + the cost of a airline ticket + the pet fee. Our puppies have always done well with air travel.
